What is a Family Health Organization?

A Family Health Organization is an approach to primary health care that brings together different healthcare providers to coordinate the highest possible quality of care for you and your family.

Designed to improve and expand access to primary care, Family Health Organizations (FHOs) consist of a team of doctors, who work together to provide you with ongoing, comprehensive care.

For FHOs to be effective, enrolled patients commit to receiving their primary health care from their primary physician. FHOs provide care during regular and extended office hours and patients also have access to Telehealth a nurse-staffed Telephone Health Advisory Service.
